Bringing Dreams to Life,

One Story at a Time

I'll help you tell your story your way, in your words, while respecting your voice.

Together, we will bring forth a story that captivates and inspires those who read it. I am the owner and editor at Amma Edits (formerly The Brielle Agency), and I have been helping authors (including non-profit organizations and small businesses) tell stories for over a decade. You've come to the right place, I'll help you bring out the best in your story. Let's chat!

Book Editor & Owner

Our Story

Until December 2020, Amma Edits, LLC was known as The Brielle Agency and was founded in October 2008 when I accepted my first editing project from a reader of the online magazine I was heading at the time. That one book turned into a second book, then three, then four, then five … you get the picture. Even so, Amma Edits did not become a business until October 2013 when I quit my corporate job to focus on editing full time. I detail that journey in my upcoming book, Accidental Business. My focus at that time (it still is) was to bring authentic, untold multicultural stories to the reading public.
Before establishing Amma Edits, I was the publisher and editor of Afrikan Goddess Online for 5 years. The online magazine was dedicated to highlighting the achievements of female African humanitarians across the world. As one of the first few publishers of its kind, I got to profile trendsetting women like Mariama Mounir Camara-Petrolawicz, co-founder and president of There is No Limit Foundation; MacDella Cooper, founder of MacDella Cooper Foundation and 2017 presidential candidate of Liberia; Rainatou Sou, Executive Director of Make Every Woman Count; Noella Coursaris Musunka, model and Founder of Malaika Foundation; and several others. Alongside being a publisher and editor, I was also a corporate paralegal and research editor for 5 years at the American Bankers Association in Washington, D.C. During my years as a paralegal, I also served as a staff editor for OnPoint Newsletter, a National Capital Area Paralegal Association publication.
My combined experience as an editor, publisher, and storyteller has been beneficial to my clients because I bring a diverse set of skills to each project. In addition to helping them tell their stories, I am also able to point them to the places where their stories will be accepted and allowed to shine. When you choose to work with Amma Edits, you will work directly with me as your editor. I offer personal one-on-one service and dedicate my time and efforts to ensuring that your story is exactly what you envisioned it to be. If this is what you've been looking for, then you're in the right place, and I look forward to helping you tell your story.
